Sainte Pulcherie has already started its series of MUN conferences this year. How about listening to ENIMUN conference, to which we have participated for the first time ? Here you can find our students’ experiences.

« ENIMUN was the first MUN of this school year, so it was like an opening ceremony for our school. Because of that we’ve had to represent our school in the best way possible. My committee was the Improviso special committee which is special to ENIMUN conferences. What makes this committee special is that it announces the debate subject at the very beginning of the first session and thus we’ve improved our capability to handle the situation under pressure and the ability to improvise. The difference between this conference and the other ones I’ve attended to was that the committees were small. But as it may sound as a bad thing, it is not. In small committees it is easier to socialize with other delegates and as you become friends, the debates become a lot more fun and also more challenging. The most important point of all MUN conferences is that they improve the delegates with new knowledge and experiences and this conference never fell behind on that point. »

« ENIMUN was the first conference of this school year and it was also my first conference ever. I was in the ECOSOC committee as the delegation of the USA. Since I was a first timer I didn’t know what to do but I got adapted quickly. Once the lobbying had started, I met a lot of new people and we shared our opinions. The conference lasted 4 days. We had mock debates, gossip writing time, lip syncing and of course, competitive debates. As a delegate who had problems on writing a resolution before attending ENIMUN, this conference has taught me a lot about defending myself, writing resolutions and preparing speeches in short notice.

The organisation was well prepared, we thank the press team specially for making such enjoyable videos and presentations. I would also like to mention all the chairs since they were so good in general and patient with the first timers. At the closing ceremony they all made emotional speeches which made me understand how much MUN means to someone who is committed to it and it made me like MUN more. I hope to attend further conferences as much as I can. »
