English and French speaking MUN Clubs participated to the MUNDP'22 Conference organized by Koç High School. Our student delegates give here their impressions on this conference.

Even though it was online, the Koç High School’s conference, MUNDP, went very well. Before the conference, I researched my topics for a very long time and tried to be as ready as I can be. Most of the first day was spent lobbying, we discussed what we wrote with other delegates and wrote resolutions to later discuss in the committee. In the span of three days we debated on 7 resolutions and were able to pass 5 of them. Especially on the second day the debates were heated and fun. Every delegate tried to be a part of the debate as much as possible. Other than amazing debates, we played games and talked with our chairs and other delegates as it would help us socialize, this contributed a lot to the conference being more fun as well as debates. Since it’s an international conference, we were able to meet people from very different backgrounds and nationalities such as people from Spain, Jamaica, South Korea, Vietnam. Overall, MUNDP for me and for a lot others was a great experience. We thank the Koç High School for this extraordinary conference.

Quant au seul comité francophone dans la conférence, le comité spécial OIF, les participants de notre lycée ont également vécu des expériences assez spectaculaires grâce au débat vif qui y a eu lieu. 3 problématiques différents y étaient abordés; dont “Prendre des mesures contre la corruption politique”, “Développer des solutions contre la discrimination raciale des groupes minoritaires” et “Prevenir les pratiques traditionnelles affectant la sante des femmes”, concernant lesquels nos délégués ont écrit des clauses qu’ils ont ensuite présenté pendant la modélisation de MUNDP. 

L’OIF est une organisation internationale représentant les pays francophones ou ayant une affiliation avec la culture française qui rassemble une communauté de plus de 300 millions de francophones pour faire progresser la diplomatie, la paix, l’égalité et la diversité culturelle avec ses 54 États membres, 7 États associés et 27 observateurs.

Les élèves participants de notre lycée, qui était de 7 personnes, ont sans doute enrichi leurs connaissances et amélioré leurs niveaux de français au niveau du vocabulaire grâce au lexique riche utilisé dans ces 3 rapports différents évoquant notamment les problématiques du monde contemporain qui touchent tous les différents aspects dans notre quotidien tels que le racisme, le sexisme et la corruption au sein du gouvernement. 

Nous voudrions remercier l’équipe organisatrice de MUNDP de ne pas avoir oublié les délégués francophones et d’avoir créé un tout autre comité pour eux, qui ne manque pas de sérieux quand comparé à ceux en anglais, qui est d’ailleurs la langue principale de cette conférence. En espérant de rejoindre à MUNDP l’année prochaine,

I enjoyed the conference a lot, it was my second MUN conference so I was able to understand the procedure better and participate a couple of times. I really liked my committee and chairs, they were very professional but also fun. Overall it was a great experience.

I enjoyed the conference even though it was an online one. I really liked how the chairs managed the debates. I think that it was a great conference to improve myself.

It was the first time that I attended an actual MUN conference and it was harder than I imagined but it was still quite fun. I loved the agenda items of my committee and I think the debates were quite interesting and fruitful. Overall it was a quite well organized and somewhat fun conference.

This was a very different experience as it was one of my first online MUNs. The chairs never failed to make us feel good and we had a non-stop debate going on. It was one of the most exciting MUN conferences I’ve ever been to.

MUNDP was a very well organized conference. It was obvious that they have put a lot of effort into it. Even though I had technical issues the first day, the rest had a good flow with fruitful debates.

Even though I’ve been to many conferences, this was my first time in a Historical Committee and it was such a fun and new experience for me. I could easily say that this was one of my best MUN experiences because I had a great time debating. The committee and chairs were friendly, the crisis team was great and we wrote many great directives. I definitely want to be in a Historical Committee again in the future.

It was the first historical committee that I’ve attended and we’ve had many fruitful debates while having fun, so it was an amazing experience for me. The conference was also very organized and professional.

This was my first ICJ experience and I’m pretty impressed by how organized everything was. The other judges and advocates were very experienced and I learned a lot from them. I liked the ICJ committee and I will probably attend another one too. However, I had a really hard time getting to know others in the committee and chatting. Everyone knew each other (from school, other conferences etc.) so I couldn’t understand half of the things they were talking about. But overall it was a good experience and I feel that with the right people ICJ can be really fun.

Comme l’année dernière, c’était très bien. Les personnes sont amicales et les présidents sont dynamiques. En plus les débats étaient de bonne qualité.

C’était une bonne expérience pour moi, tout le monde était vraiment amical et sincère. On a eu de nombreux débats fructueux et on a accompli beaucoup de choses en seulement trois jours. Je suis contente d’avoir assisté à cette conférence.

Je me suis beaucoup amusée dans les sessions et me sentais que MUNDP m’a appris tant de choses fructueuses. Nous avons débattu sur des sujets vraiment importants pour tous les gens et cela m’a intéressé de savoir ce qui se passe exactement dans le monde où je vis. Avant, j’ai participé à JMUNDP et je me sens mieux d’avoir eu l’expérience de la version développée.
