From March 2nd to March 5th, 2023 student delegates of our English MUN Club participated to the SACMUN conference, organized by SEV American College.

« Attending SACMUN was a remarkable experience. This event provides students with the opportunity to participate in a simulated United Nations (UN) conference, where they can engage in debates, discussions, and negotiations related to various global issues. Not only does this conference enhance their knowledge of international relations and global affairs, but it also sharpens their skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking.

The agenda items were interesting, 15 delegates of our English MUN club had a great time researching and writing resolutions. We represented our school in 5 different committees; GA1, GA2, GA3, ICJ and SC. During 4 days we tried to solve issues that are currently threatening our world such as police brutality against vulnerable groups in the Philippines and prosecution of human rights and dissidents in Iran.

Overall, SACMUN gave us an excellent chance to develop our debating abilities and confidence. We want to express our gratitude to the planning team for all of their effort. »
