This year, 11th grade students are getting ready for the IELTS exam in 2016 and in 2014-2015 80 per cent of the graduate students passed the university proficiency exams due to the IELTS exam that they had got in 11th grade.

Here are the comments of one of our students about IELTS preparations….

« We, as the eleventh grades of Lycée Sainte-Pulchérie, will take the IELTS exam on May 12th, 2016. As you all know, IELTS is an international exam which has two types ; General and Academic Training. Since we need it for the universities, we are going to get Academic Module. IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) assesses the english language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication and it’s needed for the Turkish universities’ proficiency exams. IELTS exam has got four parts ; listening, reading, writing and speaking… In order to get prepared for the exam, we have 3-4 hours of english lessons per week. We are studying on different types of writing exercises, listening texts and reading exercises. Every week we are doing a debate on a subject. We hope that we can get a good grade in IELTS exam…..

Last year’s graduate students passed the universities’ proficiency exams due to the IELTS and 80 per cent started to universities directly. »
